I was looking in my server logs and it looks like a bunch of you are already ditching Internet Explorer. Let me convince some more of you to do the same. Mozilla Firebird, my browser of choice, is an offshoot of the original Mozilla browser which is what Netscape uses to make their browser. There are many reasons to switch from IE, but the most compelling will probably be the built-in popup blocking. It works. All the time. Flawlessly.

The mail clients of both Mozilla and Netscape also have adaptive junk mail filtering built-in. It actually learns what your e-mail "looks like" and puts junk mail in a separate folder. It gets nearly perfect at what it does given a little bit of time, and with Netscape you can check your AOL mail account (which could certainly use some heavy-duty junk mail filtering).
