so i am standing behind the register today at work when this woman comes in and asks about my shirt which reads "reverend vince andersen" on the top and "Satan Hates Me" on the bottom. i explained to her that it was a band she accepted my explanation and proceeded to pay for her items then after cocking her head to the side (you know, kinda like a dog does) with a quizzical look upon her face, she asks, "are you a christian?" too which i reply, of course, "yes" i notice a wavery quality to my tone of voice only because i am wondering where she is going with this. it took her a few seconds to realize i was sincere and she gushed, "oh, thats wonderful! so am i!! and so is he (to which she motioned at her landscaper who gave me a half smile)!!!"
Now i realize there is really no point to this story and its really not all that amusing. its just that khad is MIA here (and in replying to countless emails i have sent him (khad if you are reading this i know you are busy with moving, just teasing)) and i felt it was my duty to put something up.
speaking of odd encounters with christians at my place of work...so i am standing at the counter and just like everyday someone has to ask me if it hurt to stretch my ears out to which i promptly reply "no" (side note: it is intriguing how few people realize that the large holes are achieved by stretching and not having a chunk of my ears removed). well this day the gentleman went on to ask me if my mom knew (how could she miss it?!) and what she thought about it. i told him she wasnt all too keen on the idea but loved me anyway. to which he replied "how do you think it makes god feel? he gave you beautiful ears changing them is like a slap in the face."
sorry for going on and on, its just that my website is down (once again i need khad's help) so i cant update it and i need some type of outlet right? and who better to share my thoughts with!
