The discussion list is up and running! I am going to mail out invitations to join the discussion right after this. Do not be alarmed. You will not and cannot be subscribed to the discussion list without your permission. The list is hosted by Topica and they do nothing with your address other than use it for the list. I have been testing them to see if I would get junk mail after signing up, and I can say with confidence that you will not get any junk mail as a result of joining the Metamorphosis discussion list. (Only a few of you know just how anal I am and cautious to put my e-mail address anywhere online. Basically, if I say it's safe, it's definitely safe.) So sign up and join the conversation!

The announcements list will remain separate from the discussion list and independently run by myself. So, if for some reason you are so completely paranoid about giving out your e-mail address for the discussion list, you can still get announcements. And if you don't even like those, well, you suck. But you can follow the directions at the end of every message to be rid of them.
